Bandi Chhor Divas & Diwali Celebration 2025
Bandi Chhor Divas & Diwali Celebration 2025 – Community Acknowledgement
We are deeply humbled by the overwhelming support from our community during this year’s Bandi Chhor Divas and Diwali celebrations. Over 1,500 people joined us throughout the weekend, making it one of the most vibrant and joyous events at the Gurdwara.
It was heartwarming to see members of the sangat bring along friends from other communities, proudly sharing and celebrating our Sikh heritage and traditions.
This success was only possible through the dedicated efforts of more than 50 volunteers who helped prepare langar, organize kirtan, and manage crowd flow throughout the celebration.
A special recognition goes to Bhai Satbir Singh Ji and Bhai Bhohar Singh Ji, who continues to inspire the younger generation through Santhiya, music, and Punjabi lessons at the Gurdwara. The highlight of the evening was witnessing our youth and children—Komal, Raman, and Hargun—perform beautiful kirtan for the sangat, showcasing their talent and dedication.
The langar preparation was truly a community effort, with remarkable quantities served:
-
70 kg of dal
-
65 kg of sabji
-
50 kg of flour
-
10 kg of rice
-
50 kg of yogurt
-
50 kg of kheer
-
165 kg of sweets

A heartfelt thank you to Harjot Singh for accompanying the kirtan with tabla, and to all others who contributed through sewa, donations, or by offering goods and services free of charge.
We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Taj Mahal Restaurant for their generous support and contribution toward the celebration. Your partnership and community spirit are deeply appreciated.
With Waheguru’s blessings, this event was a true reflection of unity, faith, and the spirit of sewa that defines our sangat.
